It's finally ready!

On-Line Tag Sale

I'm not sure which is more work... an actual garage sale, I'd have to not only sort the things out, I'd have to price them then clean out the garage, set up tables, run ads and post signs at each end of the road....with an online sale, once I get everything gathered together, snap the pics then the rest I can take care of by grabbin' a cup of coffee and uploading everything to my little ol' slow computer! It did take some time but I finally got it all up and ready to go!

If ya see somethin' ya want, just give me a shout!
*******************************
I hope you've had a great week...we've had a couple of really cold nights but we've had lots of sunshine during the days and I'm not gonna curl my nose at that! We are just a few days away from March 1st...so it's got to start warmin' up here pretty soon, right?!

Still Cleaning and Gathering...

Just a quick note that it will be another day or two and I'll have the tag sale up!  Just when I think I've got it all ready to go, I think of one more spot in the house that needs cleaning and sorting.
So, very soon!  Now I'm off to spend time with John...who is home after being out for two weeks!  Hope you are having a great week!!

Now what? A Tag Sale?

I finally got a project done that took entirely too long!   Not because it was that big of a project, but because I put it aside and forgot about it!  Anyways...I won't bore you with those details but the job is done and now when I'm stitching on something else while I'm at home, I can stitch on it guilt-free!
Like any other seamstress/stitcher, I have alot of things started...works in progress...yet as I worked on finishing up those valances, I was thinking of new projects to start!  Aprons, dolls, more cross-stitch, revamping a few found objects.....But before I can do any of that, wip's or new, I think I need to rearrange this work room.  While I've enjoyed having a work room to myself, I've not been content while working in here.  I need more light...I need a comfy chair...I need my tv in here (no satellite in this room) maybe I'll hook up my tv anyways and just watch dvd's?   I think I'll work on this room this afternoon...after church....It will take some doing though....it looks like disaster struck in here this weekend!
I got on a cleaning spree Friday .... actually, not just cleaning...I decided that I have entirely too much stuff to dust under!  Too much!!  So I've started going thru some things....everything that I've decided that I can part with has been put on or around my work tables....they are filling up!   I will be having an online tag sale very soon!!!
There will be alot of handmades...things I've made and things I've received in swaps over the years.  And as much as I love and appreciate these things, especially those made by others, I have so much and I can't keep it all.  So I will offer it to you...thru an on-line tag sale which I will post in a special album on my picture trail site.  I've already started taking some pics, but there's still some things to go thru and more pics to take! I will also be putting on some holiday leftovers....I could put them in storage til this fall but I'd just as soon move them now...even if that means letting them go at a fraction of the cost.  I'm sure there will be some things that are NOT handmade.
So check back soon!!!
It snowed here yesterday...BIG chunky flakes then turned to rain or sleet for a short bit....I think it's just raining here this morning!  Not pleasant if having to get out!
Hope you're having a great weekend....keeping warm and dry where you're at!

The Weekend...

On my walk to the pond yesterday  morning...
This is Pete...the male mule....I'm not sure if he was asking me for more grain or if he was just being nosy about my camera!  He doesn't usually get this close!

This is what it looked like out my back door this morning, but thank goodness, the fog has lifted and the sun is shining now! They are calling for snow showers today thru tomorrow....we'll see.  Maybe they are wrong and the sun will continue to shine!
Well after several evenings of just being too tired to do anything other than hold my chair down, I dug out a cross stitch project that I started some months ago and worked on it while watching The Time Travelers Wife!  Don't look too closely.  If you are familiar with this design, you will see that there is a boo-boo.  I can live with it tho... unless I point it out, maybe no one will notice once it's finished and hanging on my sampler wall!
The movie?  Confusing as it was in parts, it was good enough to keep watching.

It looks to be a quiet weekend around here....with the sun shining the way it is, it makes a person want to get out and do something, but I think I'll just stay put and get some things done around the house!
Better get on with the chores...have a great day and
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Still here...

...and I can't believe it's been over a week since I last posted!  Where does the time go and what have I done? I won't bore you with everything!  We started getting snow last week that went off and on thru Monday....I am SO tired of the snow and the cold!  SPRING!...PLEASE hurry up and get here!  What made that groundhog such an expert on the winter weather....seein' his shadow and sayin' there's six more weeks of this stuff?!!UGH!!
I spent this past Saturday with my sisters....Marsha's 50th birthday was on the 5th so we had a sister day of just hanging out and lunch at Olive Garden!
John was home over the weekend.  We left the truck in IL so picked him up on Friday and took him back Monday.  Between the weather and the time I didn't get to do any treasure shopping along the way.
I've got a few seasonal things and a couple other things that I'd had at the mercantile that I thought I'd just list in my etsy shoppe...and hope to get that done here in the next few days.
I'm going to waitress today so I'd better get myself moving here!  Hope you are having an awesome week!!

Hobby Farm Home...

But first...this is Salem.  He is the older of our three house cats.  If  I am in this room, then he must be in here too.  And if I am at the computer, then he must be on my lap OR on the desk next to me.  It doesn't matter what might be in the place he wants to lay, he will lay on it, beside it, move it out of the way...can you see how is tail and one of his hind legs are in the printer?  And can you even see the keyboard? Yeah, it's shoved over to the left, along with the mouse! He has become quite my buddy over this past year, since bringing in the two younger cats!  He's laying here, purring ever so softly!  Quite content!

Now....on to the title of my post today!  What is Hobby Farm Home you ask?
I had to make a quick stop in the grocery store yesterday and for some reason, I decided I needed to skim the magazine rack and I spotted this....
I remembered seeing what I thought was this magazine some time ago and passed on it but was compelled to pick it up this time.  Turns out, after visiting their web site, this is a sister magazine to the Hobby Farm magazine and I think this one Hobby Farm HOME is actually more geared to my interests.
Visit  http://www.hobbyfarms.com/  if you'd like to check them out!
As you can see, this issue has articles on making your own cheese, creating an evening garden, unusual veggies, herbs and cast iron recipes.....I've not gotten to spend alot of time reading it so I look forward to the afternoon coffee break.  I got most of that sewing list done that  I posted about last week and hope to finish it up today!
I'm really missing my chickens and seriously thinking about getting some more this spring BUT not before fixing up a proper coop and run for them so they will not be pecking and scratching thru the flower beds and leaving a trail along my walks ( know what I mean?).
Even though I didn't get a whole lot out of my garden last year, I'm looking forward to putting in another small one this year and spending a little more time with it. So, I guess now is the time to decide what exactly I want to plant this year and begin making my list for seed and plants.
I could go on and on of the things I'd like and hope to do this spring....but I'd better get myself busy.
Hope you have an awesome day!!
